Mattertal High Rollers Open '24 - High Stakes at High Altitudes.It’s a wrap.

Mattertal, Switzerland — June 23, 2024 — The Mattertal High Rollers Open '24, the annual high-altitude dice tournament, concluded with resounding success, setting the stage for the highly anticipated World Alpine Dice Cup. Held at the iconic Kinhuette Arena, home of the Mattertal High Rollers, this year's event showcased the exhilarating skill and strategy of top-tier alpine–dice contenders from around the region as well as invitees from far away.


Organized under the auspices of the Global Alpine Diceman Alliance and the World Alpine Dice League (WADL), the Mattertal High Rollers Open is considered as the ultimate warm-up tournament for the World Alpine Dice Cup 2024. This year's competition featured fierce competitors, including members from the Randa Riot and the Täsch Phantoms, ensuring an event packed with suspense and spectacular play.

The tournament reached its climax in a dramatic finale. Andy “Speziale” Strunz of the Randa Riot captivated the audience with his intense and unpredictable play, securing third place with a performance described as that of a "mad dervish." Günter "Offline" Kübelbeck, representing the Täsch Phantoms, achieved a remarkable second-place finish, thrilling spectators with a full house on his final roll. However, it was Ludwig “Luckry” Imboden who stole the show, clinching victory with a perfectly timed large straight, demonstrating unparalleled precision and nerves of steel, to underscore once again, that the Mattertal High Rollers are still the team to beat.


An honorable mention goes to Maverick “Outlaw” Johnson from the Reno Rebel Force. Johnson's early arrival and rigorous preparation for the upcoming World Alpine Dice Cup underscored his commitment and set the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable main event.
